Small presentation of my cross-platform engine for mobile and desktop applications

I made small presentation about my cross-platform engine for mobile and desktop applications. Codename Kobald. Click on image to play it in new window (use arrows and space to move through):

This is not-so-technical presentation and main info about engine will come later as separate post.

    hi Victor,

I saw your blog and read about your apps
and about your cross platform engine “Kobald”. I would like to know if
it is open source, can I use it in my projects? I could’nt find any
download link for the Kobald Engine in your blog. Please inform me about
your Kobald Engine.(is it open source? can i use it? where to download
it?) Have an awesome coding day!

Hello, unfortunately, it is not open source yet. The documentation is not ready yet and Im looking for serious investing in further development from beta. I hope situation will change soon enough.

Have you considered something like assembly: https://assembly.com/. You could open source your framework with a GPL like license and sell commercial closed source licenses. In this way you could also get external contributions from developers interested in joining your effort.

        • Victor Laskin

Yes, that’s quite possible, but only if i will fail to find direct investments (as consider them as better quality solution). In first place, Im not seeking to make money from it, but seeking to get money to polish it.

    hi Victor,
i am wondering is there any progress about making open source your Kobald engine?

    • Victor Laskin

Hello, Mustafa. At the moment i’m in progress of implementation of very serious application of engine – true cross-platfrom app (including desktops, mobiles and even web) for very large audience (as it will be replacement for existing production app clients). The future will be more clear after successful implementation.

    hello Victor,
i am wondering is there any progress about making open source your Kobald engine?

    • Victor Laskin

      Hello, not yet.

  • Mustafa

    hello Victor,
I gave up from your engine(Kobald) and started with AndEngine. It is not cross platform but i will use it instead of waiting for your engine. Thanks.

    • Victor Laskin

Hello. Sorry for keeping you waiting. At the moment engine is not open sourced and, probably, will not be in very near future. Consider it as closed commercial solution now.
